Mustafizur Rahman is a left-arm medium-fast bowler who usually opens bowling innings for Bangladesh in ODI and T20I. He has represented his national side Bangladesh Cricket Team in all three formats of International Cricket. Mustafizur has represented Bangladesh Cricket Team in the 2014 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. He is a good off-cutter of the ball who outswing away from the batsman and got early success in his international career for his off-cutter slower deliveries.
Rahman is a talented bowler who took his inspiration from Pakistani pacer Mohammad Amir, who is his idol. Mustafizur Rahman made his first-class cricket debut for Khulna Division and also played for Mohammedan Sporting Club during. Mustafizur Rahman made his first international appearance while representing Bangladesh Team A against West Indies Team A in 2014 and he has played his first-class cricket and List A cricket for Khulna Division and Abahani Limited respectively.
Intl. Cricket Career Stats
Mustafizur made his debut in limited over format T20I against Pakistan on April 24, 2015, and he dismissed two inform batsman of top-order Mohammad Hafeez and hard-hitter Shahid Afridi which made his career day as a debutant. He became the first Bangladesh player to claim his first five wickets haul in T20 International during the 2016 ICC T20 World Cup which he recorded against New Zealand as his best bowling figure so far.
He became the fastest Bangladeshi bowler to take 50 ODI wickets in just 27 innings, when he dismissed Sri Lankan opening batsman Upul Tharanga on January 27, 2018. Mustafizur has three five wickets haul in One Day International with his best bowling figure 6/43 and a single five wickets haul in T20I with his best bowling figure 5/22.
T20 League CricketÂ
Mustafizur Rahman made his debut in the Indian Premier League during IPL 2016 for Sunrisers Hyderabad and retained by the same franchise during IPL 2017 & later next edition he represented Mumbai Indians for IPL 2018. He made his debut in English County Championship during English County season 2016, for a first-class cricket format.
Mustafizur Rahman made his debut in the Bangladesh Premier League for Dhaka Dynamites during BPL 2015 and retained by the same franchise for BPL 2016. Later Mustafizur Rahman auctioned to Rajshahi Kings during IPL 2017 and retained by the same franchise until the most recent BPL 2019 edition. He made his debut in the Pakistan Super League for Lahore Qalandars during the PSL 2018 3rd edition of Pakistan Super League.
