Francois “Faf” du Plessis is right-handed batsman with right-arm leg-break bowler, who has represented South Africa National Team in all formats of International Cricket and is currently South Africa Cricket Team captain across all formats of ICC. He became captain for South Africa Cricket Team in 2017 for all three formats of International Cricket after Mr. 360 degree AB de Villiers who steps down as captain on August 24, 2017.
Faf du Plessis has captained World XI team for three T20I matches against Pakistan in August 2017, during Independence Cup at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore. In April 2019, he was named in South Africaâ€™s squad for the 2019 Cricket World Cup. Faf du Plessis became first South African and 2nd only after Sri Lankaâ€™s Tillakaratne Dilshan to score a century as captain in all formats of International Cricket in 2017.
Du Plessis became the first ever player to score a century with 118 runs in a day/night Test match as captain and to declare Test match at a very low total of 259/9D. He scored his career-best One Day International runs with 185 runs against Sri Lanka and became 2nd highest individual runs scorer of just 3 runs short of Gary Kirstenâ€™s 188*.

He is the first batsman to score a duck in over One Day International games which he took to 108 innings. Faf du Plessis made his debut in English County Championship for Lancashire during English County Season 2008-09. Faf has made his debut in the Indian Super League for Chennai Super Kings during IPL season 2011 to 2015 and from 2018-present.
He also played for Rising Pune Supergiants in the Indian Premier League during IPL season 2016 and 2017. Faf du Plessis became part of Paarl Rocks Squad in the South African Mzansi Super League Twenty20 cricket tournament in October 2018. Du Plessis made his debut for Melbourne Renegades in the KFC Big Bash League during BBL season 2012.
