Mehedi Hasan is a bowling all-rounder with right-handed batting style and right-arm off break spin bowling action. He has represented his national side Bangladesh Cricket Team in all three formats of International Cricket. He also captained his Bangladesh U-19 side during the 2014 U-19 ICC World Cup, which tournament was hosted by UAE and won by South Africa U-19 for the first time against runner-up Pakistan U-19.
Mehedi Hasan is a young emerging Bangladeshi star who has represented his national side in the Under-19 World Cup semi-final in February 2016, hosted by Bangladesh. West Indies U-19 Â won the title for the first time against runner up U-19 India. Mehedy Hasan made his debut in the Bangladesh Premier League for Rajshahi Kings during BPL 2016 season and played next all seasons until the most recent BPL 2019 for the same franchise.
He took his first five wickets to haul on his Test debut against England and became 7th debutant to achieve five wickets haul and youngest Bangladeshi player to take five wickets haul. Mehedi Hasan made his first-class cricket debut for Kalabagan against Rajshahi Division cricket team in February 2015, took 4 wickets as first-class cricket debutant and scored 51 runs.
He made his debut in the Caribbean Premier League for Trinbago Knight Riders (formerly the Trinidad and Tobago Red Steel in 2016-present. Mehedi has picked up twice ten-wicket haul with 12 wickets for 117 runs against West Indies and best figure in innings with 7/58 runs in November 2018.
He made took his best ODI bowling figure with 4/29 against West Indies in 2018 and helped his team to win ODI series 2-1. In April 2019, he was named in Bangladesh’s squad for the 2019 Cricket World Cup.
