Shaun Marsh is an Australian cricketer. His full name is Shaun Edward Marsh. He was born on July 09, 1983 in Narrogin, Western Australia. He is known as “son of Swampy). His father Geoff Marsh and younger brother Mitchell Marsh both have represented the Australian national side. Shaun is a left-handed opening batsman and slow left-arm orthodox spinner. He is 35 years old and 186 cm tall. Shaun represented Australia in Test and One Day International formats. Marsh attended Wesley College in South Perth.
Marsh started his career in first-class cricket and played for Western Australia. Shaun represented Australia at under 17 and 19 levels at both in 1999-2000 and 2001-02 ICC world cups. The tournament was held in Sri Lanka. Shaun impressed selectors over his performance in first-class cricket when he made debut in 2000-01 against South Australia at WACA Ground in March 2001. Marsh had excellent ODI and test cricket career. He has good batting averages in both test and ODI formats. First, he made his debut against West Indies in June 2008.

He scored 81 runs from 97 balls in his debut one-day international game and remained the man of the match awards. Marsh made received baggy green cap from his father and represented Australia against Sri Lanka and scored his maiden century on his Test debut. Marsh became the 19th Australian batsman to score a century on his debut.
He claimed replacement as an opening batsman for Australia cricket once Adam Gilchrist and Matthew Hayden played their final season 2008-09. Marsh scored his maiden ODI century in the 5th ODI against Australia at Hyderabad on November 05, 2009. He scored his highest ODI runs 155* unbeaten against Queensland Gabba which led a stone for his selection in international cricket.
He represented Kings XI Punjab and Rajasthan Royals for IPL along with cricket superstars Sanath Jayasuriya, Kumar Sangakkara, Glenn McGrath, and Shane Warne. Marsh has excelled in the T20 cricket format during the year 2012-13 Big Bash League. He scored five half-centuries in nine innings and remained leading run-scorer throughout the tournament. He represented Perth Scorchers and Melbourne Renegades in Big Bash League.
