Jason Behrendorff is an Australian cricketer. His full name is Jason Paul Behrendorff and he was born on April 24, 1990, in Camden, New South Wales, Australia. Behrendorff is 28 years old and 193 cm (6 ft 4 in) tall. He is a right-handed batsman and a left-arm medium fast bowler. Behrendorff studied sports science and claimed his degree at Edith Cowan University in December 2012. Jason grew up in Canberra, the capital territory of Australia and played representative for Australian Capital Territory at both junior and senior levels.
Jason has the best bowling figures 4/29 for Western Australia against Victoria in his debut to Sheffield Shield for the season 2012-13. He claimed his best bowling figure against Victoria in February 2017 by taking 9/37, the fifth-best bowling figure in the Sheffield Shield. He represented Prime Minister’s XI in the year 2009 against the New Zealand national cricket team. Behrendorff made his debut in List A cricket for Western Australia at Hands Oval against Tasmania in Ryobi One-Day Cup season 2010-11.
On his One Day International debut Behrendorff picked up 2 wickets v India at Sydney Cricket Ground on January 12, 2019. He picked up twice 10 wickets haul in first class and once in List A cricket with his best 9/37 and 5/27 respectively. Behrendorff had a fantastic season for Western Australia Cricket Association in season 2011-12 as he received the “Future Legend” award due to outstanding performances throughout the season. Behrendorff made his debut in domestic cricket for Western Australia, Matador BBQs ODI-Cup and Sheffield Shield with opening the bowling.
T20 Cricket Career
Jason Behrendorff made his KFC Big Bash League debut in BBL season 2012-13 for Perth Scorchers. He remained part of Perth Scorchers for season 2012-13, 2013-14 and 2014-15 in which his team won three consecutive titles. Behrendorff made his debut in KFC Big Bash League for Perth Scorchers in the BBL season 2012-2013. He took his 3/44 his best bowling figure in BBL season 2012-13 as a debutant in November 2012 v Melbourne Renegades. Behrendorff was signed to Mumbai Indian for his IPL debut in during season 2018 but ruled out due to injury.
