T20 Cricket

Vitality Blast is the professional Twenty20 Cricket League established by England and Wales Cricket Board. The T20 Blast is a competition for English and Welsh first-class counties. There are eighteen Natwest T20 Blast Teams, of which Leicestershire Foxes are the most successful team with three titles. In the most recent and last edition of the Vitality Blast 2019 season, Essex Eagles won their maiden title of the season. The tournament format stands still with Group Stage and Knock-out in the double round-robin.

The eighteen first-class counties compete in the Natwest T20 Blast or Vitality Blast contest. Primarily the teams are divided into two groups called North and South Division in T20 Cup. In the first round of the tournament, nine teams from each group contest with a double round-robin format. As per the tournament format, the top four teams from each group advance to the knockout or playoffs—the Super-8 match four Quarter Finals, Semi-Final, and Final based on qualification to next-round.

The upcoming 18th edition of Vitality Blast commences from May amid attracting large crowds during the school summer holidays. As per the T20 Blast Fixtures 2020, the opening match of the season scheduled on May 29 between Surrey and Middlesex at Kennington Oval Ground. The first phase of the tournament ends on July 12 with teams ranking on Vitality Blast Points Table. The T20 Blast Quater Finals, Semi-Finals and Final day games to resume from August 18 - September 5.

North Division Team Squads

There are nine counties to competes in the Vitality Blast T20 contest this year. According to the tournament format, each team competes in a double round-robin format. All teams will play fourteen matches to make their way to the top-fours. Every time the winner of the game will be awarded two points while loser with nill.

On average, teams required to win approx five or six games to stay in top-fours. From the North Division - The top four teams will advance to playoffs or knockout stage of the tournament.

Durham Squad

Durham County Cricket Club in the North Division’s first-class county club. The club is commonly known as Durham Cricket or Durham CCC. For the upcoming Vitality Blast 2020 contest, Stuart Poynter will lead his side for the championship. He is the wicket-keeper batsman and captain to Durham for limited-overs cricket contests.

Durham is likely to go with local guys except for Handscomb and D’Arcy Short. Durham CCC has Australian top-order batsman D’Arcy Short as an opening batsman and Alex Lees as a specialist batsman. There are seven all-orders, especially Jack Burnham and Graham Clark, to play an essential role with bat and bowl.

Durham CCC opted Australian wicket-keeper batsman Peter Handscomb ass their top-order batsman and wicket-keeping option. Check-out Durham Fixtures T20 Blast 2020. As per the Durham T20 Blast Fixture 2020, the team will play their first match against Yorkshire at Leeds Ground on Friday, May 29.

Yorkshire Vikings 

Yorkshire County Cricket Club called Yorkshire Vikings during Vitality Blast contests. Headingley is home to Yorkshire Vikings that is one of the 18th first-class county clubs from North Divisions. Tom Kohler-Cadmore is the captain of Yorkshire Vikings during Vitality Blast 2020.

The franchise has five top-order batsmen, of which only Gary Ballance has made international appearances. Except for captain four other batsmen such as Harry Brook, Adam Lyth, and Will Fraine as a top-order batsman. David Willey leads Yorkshire squad during first-class contests such as Specsavers County Championship and Royal One-Day Cup games.

Yorkshire opted for six all-rounders, including Willey, Jack Leaning, Duanne Olivier, Tim Bresnan, Jordan Thompson, and Josh Poysden. Yorkshire Vitality Blast T20 squad chose Nicholas Pooran and Jonathan Tattersall as wicket-keepers.

Not precisely any international players, Mathew Pillan, Keshav Maharaja, and Steven Patterson specialist blowers in the squad. As per the Yorkshire T20 Blast Fixture 2020, the team will play their first match against Durham at Leeds Ground on Friday, May 29.

Derbyshire Falcons

Derbyshire Cricket Club is one of the eighteen first-class counties that compete in Vitality Blast every year. Derbyshire CCC captained by Billy Godleman, who is the top-order batsman. Derbys opted for nine all-rounders in the squad for the upcoming contests. Luis Reece, Wayne Madsen, Logan van Beek, and Darren Stevens are the best all-rounders in the playing XI.

Derbyshire has three wicket-keeping options in the squad, including Tom Lace, Daryn Smit, and Harvey Hosein. Australian pacer Billy Stanlake to play the upcoming season of the Vitality T20 Blast. Yorkshire five specialist bowlers Boyd Rankin, Mark Watt, Ravi Rampaul, and Hamidullah Qadri to play for the franchise.

Yorkshire retains all these players, and if any new changes expected than they will be updated. In the all-rounder’s option, Wayne Madsen, Leus du Plooy, and Matthew Critchley had been pretty impressive last season. As per the Derbyshire Falcons T20 Blast Fixture 2020, the team will face Leicestershire at Derbys County Ground on Friday, May 29.

Birmingham Bears

Warwickshire County Cricket Club competes in Vitality Blast as Birmingham Bears. Jeetan Patel, the batting all-rounder, is the captain to Birmingham Bears for T20 Blast upcoming season. Warwickshire CCC have plenty of experienced players in the line-up as a proper batsman, all-rounders, and wicket-keepers.

Although the bowling line for Birmingham Bears isn’t well experienced, the combination with bowling all-rounders is good enough to mitigate spaces. Warwickshire squad for Vitality Blast T20 has eight Twenty20 specialist batsmen. Such as Liam Banks, George Panayi, Dominic Sibley, Robert Yates, Sam Hain, Matthew Lamb, Ed Pollock, and Adam Hose.

Australian all-rounder Ashton Agar is a bowling all-rounder along with Chris Green are in well combination. In the bowling options, the Birmingham Bears squad consists of Olly Stone and Fidel Edwards as striking bowling options. As per Birmingham Bears T20 Blast Fixture 2020, the team will play their first match against Nottinghamshire on Friday, May 29, at Nottingham, Trent Bridge Ground.

Leicestershire Foxes

Leicestershire County Cricket Club competes in Vitality Blast as Leicestershire Foxes that announced their squad ahead of cricket summer 2020. Colin Ackermann will captain the side for Leicestershire during the T20 Blast 2020 schedule. The team has two specialist batsmen and three all-rounders with plenty of striking bowling options.

Harry Dearden, Ackermann, Harry Swindells, and Lewis Hill are the top-order batsmen in the playing XI. Leicestershire Foxes opted for four all-rounders Mark Cosgrove, Aadil Ali, Neil Dexter, and Gavin Griffiths as batting all-rounders. Harry Swindells and Lewis Hill will do the job as top-order batsman and wicket-keeper.

Aaron Lilley, Callum Parkinson, Chris Wright, and Dieter Klein are the best bowling options in Foxes Squad. Leicestershire hasn’t opted for overseas players and preferred to go with local talent. As per the Leics Foxes T20 Blast Fixture 2020, the team will face Derbyshire at Derbys County Ground on Friday, May 29.

Lancashire Lightning 

Lancashire County Cricket Club competes in Vitality Blast Twenty20 championship as Lancashire Lightening. Dane Vilas is the wicket-keeper batsman and captain to the squad. The team has plenty of great options in their line-up in all eras such as batting line.

All-rounders and bowling. Keaton Jennings, Rob Jones, and Liam Livingstone the top-order batsman. Livingstone got plenty of experience playing in different cricket leagues happening all-over the world. Lancashire opted six all-rounders splitting equally in batting and bowling all-rounders.

Glenn Maxwell, the renowned T20 specialist batsman who captained Melbourne Stars in during Big Bash League 2019/20 season. James Faulkner, Steven Croft, Josh Bohannon, Stephen Parry, and Richard Gleeson are in the squad.

Lancashire Lightning have Saqib Mahmood, Liam Hurt, Toby Lester, Matthew Parkinson, and Danny Lamb as bowling options in their line-up. As per the Lancashire T20 Blast Fixture 2020, the team will face Northamptonshire on May 29, at Liverpool County Ground.

Worcestershire Rapids

Worcestershire County Cricket Club competes in Vitality Blast T20 Championship as Worcestershire Rapids. Moeen Ali is the captain of Worcestershire Rapids renowned batting all-rounders who got plenty of experience in limited-overs cricket.

The teams are packed-up in all eras, especially eight top-order, middle-order batsmen. Martin Guptill, who has been part of several cricket leagues and Callum Ferguson, who captained Sydney Thunders in Big Bash League are part of the line-up.

Worcestershire got plenty of options on top of the order with Olly Westbury, Joshua Dell, Jack Haynes, Daryl Mitchell, and Hamish Rutherford. In the all-rounder’s category except for Moeen Ali, there a five other options to the team. Wayne Parnell, Ross Whiteley, George Rhodes, Ben Twohig, and Brett D’Oliveira to play the upcoming cricket summer with Worcestershire Rapids.

There are three wicket-keeping options and eight bowling options in the line-up. George Scrimshaw, Adam Finch, Patrick Brown, and Josh Tongue young talent in the squad. As per the Worcs Rapids T20 Blast Fixture 2020, the team will play their opening match against Northamptonshire on June 02, at Worcester County Ground.

Northamptonshire Steelbacks

Northamptonshire County Cricket Club is one of the eighteen first-class county teams competes in Vitality Blast as Northamptonshire Steelbacks. Joshua Cobb is the captain to the Steelbacks squad, and the team got a bunch of great players, including overseas. There are four top-order batting options available to Nothamptonshires Steelbacks with Alex Wakely, Richard Levi, Charlie Thurston, and Ben Curran.

Except for the captain Joshua Cobb, Northants have Adam Rossington as primary wicket-keeping. Northants Steelbacks squad consists of six all-rounders, including two overseas. Dwaine Pretorius and Faheem Ashraf to play for Northamptonshire this season. Luke Procter, Tom Sole, Rob Keogh, and Matt Coles are the batting all-rounders in the squad.

Northants got five bowlers with Graeme White, Ben Sanderson, Nathan Buck, Brett Hutton, and Blessing Muzarabani. Northamptonshire squad is well balanced all three eras of batting, bowling, and all-rounders. As per the Northants Steelbacks T20 Blast Fixture 2020, the team will face Lancashire on May 29, at Liverpool County Ground.

South Division Team Squads

There are nine counties in South Division to compete in Vitality Blast Twenty20 Championship for the upcoming season. As per the T20 Blast format, the top four teams from the South Division will advance to playoffs/knockouts. All nine teams in the South Division play double round-robin that means facing opponent twice at the group stage of the tournament.

Only four teams will advance to knockout that will dominate the Vitality Blast Points Table. It’s been witnessed that on average a team winning six games out of fourteen have chances to qualify in playoffs. In the playoffs, North and South Division four teams from each side will face each other in Quarter-Finals.

Surrey

Surrey County Cricket Club is one of the eighteen first-class cricket counties that competes in Specsavers County Championship, Royal One-Day Cup, and Vitality Blast Championship. In the T20 Blast Fixtures 2020, Jade Derbach to captain the squad for the upcoming cricket summer. The team got plenty of great players in their line-up, including Australian top-order batsman Aaron Finch and Mark Stoneman as their top-order batting line.

Surrey packed-up with batting, best all-rounders, and bowling attack. Surrey CCC squad for Vitality Blast 2020, consisting of six all-rounders such as Rikki Clarke, Will Jacks, Ryan Patel, Tom Curran, Sam Curran, and Jordan Clark, who have been pretty impressive in last season. The franchise got four wicket-keeping options and middle-order batsmen, Such as Ollie Pope, Jamie Smith, Rory Burns, and Ben Foakes.

In the bowling unit, Imran Tahir, Jade Benrbach, Liam Plunkett, Conor McKerr, Scott Borthwick, and Gareth Batty. Surrey’s batting, bowling, and all-rounders unit are pretty substantial as compared to South Division opponents. Somerset

Somerset County Cricket Club is one of the eighteen first-class counties that competes in Vitality Blast championship. The batting all-rounder Tom Abell is the captain to Somerset T20 Blast teams. In the top-order batting line, Somerset got legendary Babar Azam the number 1 T20 batsman in ICC T20 Players rankings. James Hildreth, Tom Lammonby, Geroge Barlett, and Edward Byrom are top-order batsmen in the squad.

Tom Banton is the wicket-keeper opening batsman who paired with Babar Azam in last season. Somerset got six all-rounders, including Tom Abell (C), Peter Trego, Craig Overton, Roelof van der Merwe, Lewis Gregory, and Jamie Overton. Somerset got few options in batting line-up who made international appearances, including Babar Azam and Jerome Taylor as overseas players.

In the Somerset squad, Jack Leach, Max Waller, Ollie Sale, Tim Groenewald, and Dominic Bess are in bowling units. According to the Somerset T20 Blast Fixture2020, the team will play their first match against Gloucestershire CCC on May 29 at Taunton County Ground.

Middlesex 

Middlesex County Cricket Club is one of the eighteen first-class county clubs that compete in Vitality Blast T20 Championship. English opening batsman Dawid Malan is the captain of Middlesex CCC. The team got four top-order batsmen such as Eoin Morgan, Nick Gubbins, Dawid Malan, and Dan Lincoln. Eoin Morgan is the key player in the Middlesex squad.

The team got few experienced players, including overseas Mohammad Hafeez and AB de Villiers. Middlesex T20 Blast squad consisting of six all-rounders Paul Stirling, Nathan, Sowter, Mohammad Hafeez, Tom Barber, Max Holden, and Toby Roland-Jones.

The team got three wicket-keeping options, including AB de Villiers, John Simpson, and Stephen Eskinazi. Middlesex squad has experienced bowling attack with Afghan lad Mujeeb Ur Rahman who gave brilliant performances last season.

Glamorgan

Glamorgan County Cricket Club is one of the eighteen first-class counties from the South Division of Vitality Blast. English opening batsman, Colin Ingram, is to lead Glamorgan CCC during the T20 Blast Fixtures 2020. The team got plenty of great options, including Kiran Carlson, Fakhar Zaman, Jeremy Lawlor, David Llyod, Callum Taylor, and Shaun Marsh.

All these players are the experienced ones who got plenty of experience in limited-overs cricket contest playing all-over the world. Shaun Marsh, Fakhar Zaman, and Colin Ingram are exemplary performers.

Glamorgan T20 Blast squad has four all-rounders with Graham Wagg, Nicholas Selman, Ruaidhri Smith, and Owen Morgan. In the middle-order batting line, Chris Cooke (wicket-keeper batsman to take on.

Glamorgan CCC has seven bowlers in the line-up, including Marchant de Lange, Roman Walker, Danier Douthwaite, Andrew Salter, Lukas Carey, Michael Hogan, and Prem Sisodiya. As per the Glamorgan T20 Blast Fixtures 2020, the team will play their opening match against Essex CCC at Chelmsford on Friday 29.

Hampshire 

Hampshire County Cricket Club is one of the eighteen first-class counties that competes in Vitality Blast T20 Contest. Hampshire CCC is captained by English opening batsman James Vince who got mass experience in limited-overs cricket. Vince has been part of different Twenty20 leagues happening all over the world. Hampshire has three top-order batsmen Rilee Rossouw, Sam Northeast, and the skipper.

The team got three wicket-keeper batsmen Aneurin Donald, Lewis McManus, and Tom Alsop. Hampshire CCC got three world-class all-rounders with Liam Dawson, Chris Morris, and Ian Holland. Morris and Dawson have been part of different leagues including Pakistan Super League,

Indian Premier League, and Big Bash League. Hampshire T20 Blast squad has seven bowlers in their line-up. Ryan Steveson, Chris Wood, James Fuller, Kyle Abbott, Mason Crane, Brad Taylor, and Tabraiz Shamsi.

The teams comprising one of the best batting and all-rounders skill set, although the bowling unit isn’t competitive. According to the Hampshire T20 Blast Fixture 2020, the team will play their opening match against Sussex on May 29, 2020, at Southampton Cricket Ground.

Essex Eagles

Essex County Cricket Club is one of the eighteen first-class counties than competes in the Specsavers County Championship, Royal One-Day Cup, and Vitality Blast Championship. Simon Harmer will captain the Esses CCC, who led his side in the previous season as well. The county club has three top-order batsmen Varun Chopra, Tom Westley, and Daniel Lawrence.

The team got five all-rounders, including Cameron Delport, Ryan ten Doeschate, Matthew Quinn, Ravi Bopara, and James Porter. Delport and Bopara got grand expressive in Twenty20 Cricket Leagues. Adam Wheater is the wicket-keeper batsman in Essex County Club during Vitality Blast 2020 season.

As compared to all other South Division teams, Sussex got seven great bowling options. Mohammad Amir and Adam Zampa are the key bowlers in the line-up who have been impressive during the last T20 Blast season.

Except for these two legendary bowlers, Simon Harmer, Shane Snater, Aaron Beard, Paul Walter, and Samuel Cook in bowling unit. As per the Essex T20 Blast Fixtures 2020, the team will play their opening match against Glamorgan CCC at Chelmsford on Friday 29.

Kent Spitfires

Kent County Cricket Club is one of the eighteen teams that compete in the Specsavers County Championship, Royal One-Day Cup, and Vitality Blast. Daniel Bell Drummond to captain the Kent CCC as he has been in last season. Kent T20 Vitality Blast has four top-order batsmen, including Faf du Plessis, Zak Crawley, Sean Dickson, and skipper are the key batsmen.

Faf du Plessis has been part of different Twenty20 Cricket Leagues, including IPL, MSL, BPL, and CPL. Four all-rounders such as Alex Blake, Fred Klaassen, and Mohammad Nabi. The teams got four wicket-keeping options, one of the most including Oliver Robinson, Sam Billings, Heino Kuhn, and Jordan Cox.

Sam Billings has played a lot of limited-overs cricket and has brilliant stats. Kent got eight bowling options, including Adam Milne and  Calum Haggett. Matt Milne, Imran Qayyum, Hardus Viljoen, Mitchell Claydon, Grant Stewart, and Marcus O’Riordan.

Adam Milne is one of the best bowlers from New Zealand who has played in the last season. As per the Kent T20 Blast Fixture 2020, the team will face Sussex at Hove County Ground on the opening day of the league, May 28.

Sussex Sharks

Sussex County Cricket Club is one of the eighteen first-class counties from South Divisions that competes in Specsavers, Royal One-Day, and Natwest T20 Vitality Blast. Former English middle-order batsman Luke Wright to captain the side since he led the team last year. Sussex CCC got experience batsmen, all-rounders, and bowlers. Philip Salt and Laurie Evans are the top-order batsmen in the squad.

Sussex Sharks got seven all-rounders of which David Wiese and Jofra Archer have been part of different Cricket Leagues in the past. Aaron Thomason, Delray Rawlins, Harry Finch, Ollie Robinson, Jofra Archer, and David Wiese are the all-rounders drafted by Sussex.

The team got two wicket-keeper batsmen Alex Carey and Ben Brown of which Carey lead the Adelaide Strikers during the last Big Bash Leauge 9th season. Sussex has the best bowling attack as compared to other teams in the South Division, probably best in all sides of Vitality Blast.

Rashid Khan, Chris Jordan, Jason Behrandorff, and Tymal Mills are well-known figures. Reece Topley, Luke Evans, Danny Briggs, and Will Beer to play next season for Sussex Sharks. Gloucestershire

Gloucestershire County Cricket Club is one of the eighteen first-class county clubs from the South Division of Vitality Blast. Gloucestershire CCC, Glos, Gloss team captained by Michael Klinger, the former Test cricketer. The team has the least number of overseas players in the line-up. In the top-order batting line, including the skipper, Gloucestershire has Ian Cockbain as a specialist batsman.

James Bracey and Chris Dent are the middle-order batsman and wicket-keepers in the Glocester T20 Blast squad. The team got eight all-rounders in their line-up, including Jack Taylor, Matt Taylor, Zak Chappell, Tom Smith, Miles Hammond, David Payne, Graeme van Buuren, and Benny Howell. Mainly these have been part of Gloucestershire’s first-class county side for Specsavers and Royal One-Day Cup teams.

The team got only four specialist bowling options with Andrew Tye, Ryan Higgins, Josh Shaw, and Chris Liddle in their line-up. The county club got most all-rounders and least specialist bowlers in their squad.
