Aftab Alam is a batting all-rounder and a useful right-arm medium-fast bowler. He represented his national side Afghan Cricket Team in all ODI and T20I. He became part of the Afghanistan U-19 squad and played the 2010 Under-19 Cricket World Cup and became a leading wicket-taker with 12 for the Afghanistan U-19 team.
Cricket Gurus believe that Aftab has a fantastic career ahead if he keeps improving for his team. Afghan Cricket Board will surely be happy to such rising stars in the cricket. New Zealand hosted the tournament and won by Australia for the 3rd time against runner up New Zealand.
He as U-19 surprisingly gave astonishing results as his best bowling figure while playing U-19 cricket he took 8/12 against Oman in the 2011 ACC U-19 Elite Cup. Aftab made his first-class cricket debut for his Mis Ainak Region in the 2017–18 Ahmad Shah Abdali 4-day Tournament on November 13, 2017.
Aftab Alam picked up 41 wickets in his 27 One Day International and eleven wickets in his 12 Twenty20 International. He is a fantastic player who got strong bowling action and great all-round skills. Recently during the Afghanistan tour of Ireland, he picked up a few wickets and contributed some runs with his bat.
He has also represented Speen Ghar Region in the 2018 Ghazi Amanullah Khan Regional One Day Tournament. Aftab made his debut in the APL during the inaugural edition for Balkh in September 2018 In April 2019; he was named in Afghanistan’s squad for the 2019 Cricket World Cup.
He didn’t get any chance of playing in any domestic league tournaments. Aftab played for Balkh in the APL the only T20 cricket league he played. He is an outstanding player and in the near future looking to play in different leagues like IPL, PSL or BPL.
