Liam Edward Plunkett is an English cricketer and right-arm fast bowler who plays for Surrey Cricket Club. Plunkett was born on April 6, 1985, in Nunthorpe, North Yorkshire, England. He rediscovered his pace and turned as bustling fast-medium seamer blessed with an ability to bowl an occasional unplayable ball and a powerful striker down the order.
Liam briefly promised to have a long international career only for issues with his control. In his final season at Durham in 2012, a loss of confidence in his action – to lower his sights. He made his first international appearance against Pakistan in Test and One Day International after having a fantastic first-class season for Durham’s during 2005. He is an outstanding player who manages breakthroughs in powerplays.
Plunkett played just 13 Test games so far and grabbed 41 wickets. He represented his national side in 89 One Day International games grabbing 135 wickets. Liam played 22 matches so far and picked 25 wickets. He has been outstanding in first-class, List A and T20s including cricket leagues stats. He played 152 T20 games including Vitality Blast and league cricket and took 139 wickets.
Plunkett joined Nashua Dolphins during November 2007. Plunkett has the best bowling figures as 5/64 in 13 Test matches, 5/52 in 78 One Day Internationals. He has single five wickets haul in Test, ODI, and List A Cricket. He picked up 11 five wickets haul in his first-class career. Liam Plunkett made his IPL debut during IPL season 2018 when he was signed by the Delhi Capitals.
In the upcoming Indian Premier League 2020 season Liam Plunkett will play for Delhi Daredevils. Plunkett is a great bowler with his skills he proved himself in all format of cricket. He has been a brilliant performer in the CWC 2019 when his national side became champion. In the upcoming T20 Cricket World Cup 2020, he is going to be part of the English squad.
