Najibullah Zadran (نجیب الله ځدراڼ) is a left-handed batsman and right-arm off-break bowler. He represented his national side Afghan Cricket Team ODI and T20I format. He is widely known for his hard-hitting, clean and powerful strokes in the Afghan Cricket Team. Najib made his Twenty20 Cricket debut for Afghan Cheetahs. In the domestic structure T20 cricket tournament in Pakistan.
He played in Faysal Bank Twenty20 Cup against Rawalpindi Rams, Multan Tigers and Faisalabad Wolves in 2011. He has played his first-class cricket for Band-e-Amir Dragons in the 2017 Afghan first-class cricket season. The tournament is very similar to Ahmad Shah Abdali 4-day Tournament. Najib scored his maiden ODI century against Ireland in March 2019 during 3rd ODI of five matches,
In the series with 104* runs unbeaten off 98 balls, five sixes, and five fours. Najib was named in the Montreal Tigers squad during the inaugural edition of the Global T20 Canada tournament in June 2018. He made his debut in the inaugural edition of the Afghanistan Premier League tournament for Kandahar in September 2018.
Najib has also played for Chittagong Vikings in the Bangladesh Premier League for BPL 2019 most recent edition. In April 2019, he was named in Afghanistan’s squad for the 2019 Cricket World Cup. Najib played a significant role in the most recent Twenty20 series against Ireland. As a part of the Afghanistan Future Tour Program, the team toured Ireland for three T20I and test matches.
He picked up wickets in all games and brought victory for his side. He played an important role by removing the top-order batting lines and conceding the lowest economy. Najib did a great job by conceding the lowest economy and restricting the opposition to the lowest total. Zadran has great soft hands who love building partnerships in top-order. He has a fantastic batting average in ODI’s.
