Matthew Wade Profile, Career Info, Records & Stats

Matthew Wade is an Australian international cricketer. He was born as Matthew Scott Wade on December 26, 1987, in Hobart, Tasmania, Australia. Wade is a wicket-keeper left-hand batsman and a right-arm medium-fast bowler. Wadey is the nickname of Matthew Wade. Wade represented Australia national team as a wicketkeeper in all three formats of international cricket Test, One-Day International, and T20 International.

Matthew made his first-class debut for the Tasmanian cricket team and his List A cricket for Tasmania Tigers in Ford Ranger One Day Cup during season 2006-07. Wade scored his maiden first-class century during 2008-09 in Sheffield Shield season 2008-09 against Queensland. He was suspended in the Sheffield Shield season 2015 for pitch tampering. Wade is color blind so he has suffered difficulties on the field.

He was diagnosed with testicular cancer at the age of 16, he received two rounds of chemotherapy before he was cleared of the disease. Wade scored his maiden Test century by scoring 106 runs against West Indies at Roseau on April 7, 2012. He also scored his second Test century in the third Test against the West Indies in Sydney. He played BBL and IPL for different teams. Wade played for Melbourne Renegades and Hobart Hurricanes in Big Bash League.

Wade represented Delhi Capitals for 3 times. He made plays in KFC Big Bash League a domestic T20 cricket for Hobart Hurricanes. Wade made his debut for Delhi Daredevils in the Indian Premier League during IPL season 2011, 2012 and 2013 season. He played 94 One Day International games so far and scored 25.75 with a single half-century.

He scored ten half-centuries with his highest individual innings of 100* unbeaten. Matthew mostly appeared in the domestic Twenty20 structure of India. He played all seasons of Big Bash League with his highest innings of 130* unbeaten.
