Sophia Gardens Cricket Ground Fixture Time Table

Sophia Gardens is the busiest cricket ground in England due to plenty of county cricket matches. According to the Sophia Gardens Fixture, the ground is entitled to host Natwest T20 Blast, National T20 Cup and England Team match as well. As per Sophia Gardens Cricket Ground Fixture, the stadium will host Specsavers County Championship, Vitality Blast, Royal One-Day Cup, The Hundred and The Women Hundred tournament.

According to England Cricket Schedule 2020, a single international match scheduled at Sophia Garden. Pakistan Tour of England 2020 - for three Twenty20 Internationals the 2nd match of the series scheduled on August 31st. As per the tournament scheduled time table, it will commence at 14:30 local | 13:30 GMT. Pakistan is 4 hours ahead of England, UK, so the 2nd Twenty20 of the series will begin at 18:30 PKT.

Except for the only Twenty20 International against Pakistan as per England Fixture 2020, a great number of games coming at Sophia Garden. The opening match of the Specsavers County Championship between the home side Glamorgan and Middlesex will begin in April. The great game of T20 cricket for the domestic Natwest T20 Blast scheduled as Glamorganvs Surrey on May 31. Each game of the Vitality Blast will commence at 11:00 local | 10:00 GMT.

Sophia Gardens Cricket Ground History, Records and Stats

Sophia Cricket Ground is a historic ground. It has recorded a number of national or international level cricket records so far. Cardiff Sophia Gardens Cricket Ground has won hearts by conducting several national and international cricket events. Like Natwest T20 Blast, National T20 Cup and Cricket England. The ground is known as Cardiff City Stadium and home of the Glamorgan County Cricket Club situated on the west bank of the River Taff.

Sophia Gardens is named after Lady Sophia Rawdon-Hastings. The daughter of the 1st Marquess of Hastings and wife to the 2nd Marquess of Bute. Glamorgan Cricket Club hosted Cardiff Horse Show and Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show in the 19th and 20th centuries. Initially, it was built for Festivals of Britain and used for different concerts until 1982. Cricket fans from Cardiff have witnessed so many scintillating contests between big guns of cricket in the recent past.

Most importantly England vs Pakistan recent ODI series has been fantastic. The record book of Sophia Gardens stands with the lowest ODI Total scored by the Sri Lankan against New Zealand for 138/10.  Eoin Morgan is the leading run-scorer at Sophia Gardens in Twenty20 format 147. The highest total scored at Sophia Gardens is 348 runs by England against Australia.

Edward Plunkett is the leading wicket-taker with 11 at Cardiff Stadium. The highest Twenty20 total of 182/5 scored by England v Australia, August 31, 2015. Former English Test Cricketer, Tim Bresnan is the leading wicket-taker with 4 in the limited-overs format. Australia scored the highest total in Test cricket against the host nation with 624/6 and declared the innings.
