Jofra Archer Profile, Career Info, Records & Stats

Jofra Chioke Archer, commonly known as Jofra Archer. England has produced one of the best all-rounders in a couple of years from their first-class cricket. Jofra Archer is known as one of the best picks from the domestic cricket structure of England. He represents Sussex County Cricket Club during Specsavers, Royal One-Day Cup, or Natwest T20 Blast competitions. He made his appearances in all three formats for England’s national side.

Jofra Archer made the first international appearances just before the start of the ICC 2019 Cricket World Cup against Ireland in the ODI series. From May 3rd against Ireland to May 5th against Pakistan in the Twenty20 series contest. He made T20 debut along with successive start. A right-arm medium-fast bowler equipped with hard-hitting skills. He is the clean striker of the ball who smashes boundaries as a useful batsman.

Former English cricketer Andrew Flintoff in his interview a couple of days before the 2019 Cricket World Cup. I will drop “anyone” to include such a great player Archer. He got his name in England’s squad with just two international appearances against Pakistan and Ireland. Archer bowled the “Super Over” of WC 2019 with a tied final. The risings star of England cricket made his successful start by winning the World Cup title.

Archer to be the part of England squad during the 2019 Ashes series and grabbed his first five wickets haul. He took his first wicket by dismissing Cameron Bancroft and finishing the bowling figure of 6/45. Followed by the Ashes series results, Archer handed his first central contract by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB). Archer won “Wisden Cricketer of the Year” by ECB in April following his outstanding performances for Sussex CCC in first-class and List A.

Jofra Archer made his debut for Rajasthan Royals during Indian Premier League 2018 and retained by the franchise. He represented Quetta Gladiators during Pakistan Super League 2018 edition and didn’t get the chance next year. In the 2020/21 BBL, he will play for Adelaide Strikers. He was picked by Hobart Hurricanes in Big Bash League 2017 and retained for upcoming seasons. Archer plays his first-class and Natwest T20 tournaments for Sussex County Cricket Club as his home-team.
