James Vince Profile, Career Info, Records & Stats

James Michael Vince is commonly known as James Vince. A little cricket and an opening batsman who served in the nation in all three formats of international cricket. James Vince is currently captain to Hampshire County Cricket Club. He leads his team for Natwest T20 Blast, Specsavers County Championship and Royal One-Day Cup. He is a top-order opening batsman who opens for Hampshire in Twenty20 domestic or Championship games.

James Vince made his first international appearance for his national side against Ireland in the 2015 ODI series. He got Test Cap no. 670 and made his debut against Sri Lanka on May 19, 2016. Vince made his limited-overs debut (T20 debut) against Pakistan on November 26, 2015. He is known as one of the best batsmen in the middle-order for One Day format. England mainly focused on his batting opening position as he got the chance along with Jason Roy and Jonny Bairstow.

From his first Twenty20 appearance against Pakistan in 2015, he smashed 41 runs on his debut. England beat Pakistan by 14 runs and won their first T20 series against after T20 World Cup 2007. James Vince broke 41, 38, and 46 in three consecutive Twenty20 games against Pakistan, and they won the series. He replaced injured Alex Hales as an opening batsman for England for the 2016 T20 World Cup, and he scored 22 runs against Afghanistan, and England won.

He didn’t get his name as a preliminary squad for England before ICC World Cup 2019. But later on May 21, 2019, just a week before the start of mega-event, he finalized by selectors in the fifteen-man squad. Vince has 83 as his highest innings in Test, 51 in One Day format, and 59 in limited-overs form. He appeared in quite a few games in all three sizes. He smashed a hundred in domestic T20 tournaments with the highest of 107* unbeaten.

Vince - best known as T20 specialist batsman that the reason he appeared in different cricket leagues. He made his debut for Karachi Kings in the 2016 Pakistan Super League. James Vince picked up by Multan Sultans in the most recent edition of PSL 2020 as the retention from last year. He has been outstanding for Sydney Sixers and Sydney Thunder during Big Bash League. Vince played for Pearl Rocks in the Mzansi Super League 2019 edition.
