Aaron Finch is an Australian International cricketer. His full name is Aaron James Finch who was born on November 17, 1986, in Colac, Victoria, Australia. Aaron often called a Finchy nickname. Aaron captained Australia cricket team in ODI (one day international) and limited over cricket T20. A tall and solidly smasher Finch usually opens batting for Australia during ODI and T20 Internationals, he is a right-handed batsman and slow left-arm orthodox bowler.
Finch’s aggressive and destructive hitting ability made him an icon for Australia Cricket. Finch holds several records in International, domestic and franchise cricket. Bicentenary Celebration match played between Marylebone Cricket Club and Rest of the World XI teams which captained by Sachin Tendulkar and Shane Watson respectively including the big names of international cricket.

T20I Cricket Records
Finch is 2nd Australian cricketer to score 2 T20 International centuries after Glenn Maxwell. He broke another record of Herschelle Gibbs by scoring maximum boundaries in single innings of 10 sixes and 16 fours. Finch played an exhibition cricket match on the 200th of the 3rd Lord’s Cricket Ground, London, The Bicentenary Celebration match was a 50-over and score 181 runs and led his team to win them by 7 wickets.
Aaron Finch scored 172 runs in T20 International as his career best and highest first-ever individual runs in cricket history against Zimbabwe in July 2018 in Twenty Internationals. He formed a solid partnership of 223 runs as an opening stand in T20I with D’Arcy Short which unfortunately ended in Final over in the same match. He is a second Australian batsman to score 2 T20 International centuries equal to Glenn Maxwell. Finch is the first-ever batsman to reach T20I ratings of 900 points during July 2018.
First-Class Cricket Career
Finch represented as Captained Melbourne Renegades during his domestic career. Finch is the first ever Australian cricketer to score 10 centuries in One Day Internationals. He scored his career-best and highest ever one-day domestic cricket 154 runs against lethal Queensland bowling attack for a Victorian on October 7, 2012, as captain. Finch scored levelled Simon O’Donnell’s 26 years Old record by scoring the fastest half-century by an Australia in ODI against Sri Lanka on August 31, 2016, at Dambulla.
Finch made his debut in club cricket for Colac West Cricket Club in CDCA (Colac & District Cricket Association) as a wicket-keeper batsman. James Finch made his first-class career during 2009-10 and scored his maiden first-class hundred against Tasmania at Melbourne Cricket Ground. He scored his maiden double tons in first-class cricket for Cricket Australia XI on October 28, 2005, in a tour match against New Zealand.
Finch made his debut in franchise cricket for Victorian Bushrangers in South Africa during Airtel Championship T20 League. He tasted his first international cricket during ICC under-19 Cricket World Cup 2006, Sri Lanka. He formed 223 runs highest ever first wicket partnership with D’Arcy Short, got out in final over against Zimbabwe. Aaron Finch scored the second fastest 1000 runs in T20I history in 29 innings only just behind Virat Kohli.
T20 Cricket Leagues
Aaron Finch is the first-ever player in Big Bash League by achieving a milestone of 1000 runs during BBL season 2015-16 which he completed against a match-winning performance by scoring 65 runs off 45 balls against Brisbane Heat. He made his debut for KFC Big Bash League for Melbourne Renegades in BBL inaugural season 2011-12. He made his debut in the Indian Premier League for Rajasthan Royals during IPL season 2010.
Later he has played for Delhi Daredevils, Pune Warriors, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Mumbai Indians, Gujarat Lions, Kings XI Punjab. Finch represented Surrey in T20 Blast on July 14, 2018, during season 2018 and scored 131 runs not out as the highest T20. Finch joined English County Championship on February 11, 2014, for Yorkshire County Cricket Club.
