Jos Buttler is an England professional cricketer. Joseph Charles Buttler is the full name of Jos Buttler. Jos Buttler was born on September 8, 1990, in Taunton, Somerset, England. He is right-handed wicket-keeper batsman and usually comes at the 3rd wicket for batting. Buttler is currently a vice-captain for English Cricket Team. Jos started his career with club cricket and represented Somerset’s Under-13, Under-15, and Under-17 level. He also represented King’s College Taunton against Nottinghamshire Second XI during the year 2006.

Buttler played for Glastonbury in West of England Premier League and Somerset Under-17’s with impressive batting performance of scoring 119 runs and 110 runs against Surrey and Sussex with a batting average of 51. He made the first-class debut for Somerset against Lancashire in September 2009 as a replacement for Justin Langer for the County Championship. Buttler scores his maiden first-class century against Sussex during the County Championship season 2010.

Buttler made his debut in List A cricket for Somerset against Glamorgan in their opening Clydesdale Bank 40 fixture during season 2010. Jos made his debut in limited over cricket (20-over format) for Somerset for 2009 Champions League T20. Buttler first represented England Under-17’s and Under-19’s against New Zealand Under-19’s in July 2008. Buttler made his Under-19 debut against Bangladesh Under-19’s playing specialist batsman in the year 2010.

Intl. & T20 Cricket Career

Buttler scored the fastest century 121 runs off 61 balls in One Day International by any English Cricketer against Sri Lanka at Lord’s, Sri Lanka tour of England 2014. His aggressive batting won him plaudits as he named the man of the match in Somerset’s Friends Provident T20 Final-2010, he scored a half-century from 21 balls. Buttler scored the fastest T20I half-century by an English cricket for 22 balls in June 2018 against Australia.

Buttler made his debut in IPL (Indian Premier League) for Mumbai Indians during IPL season 2016 & 2017. Jos was auctioned to IPL season 20018 by Rajasthan Royals and became the only second batsman in IPL to achieve five half-centuries in a row. Jos made his debut in KFC Big Bash season 2013-13 for Melbourne Renegades. Buttler is signed by Sydney Thunder from 2017 to the present.

He made his debut in BPL (Bangladesh Premier League) for Comilla Victorians during BPL season 2017. Jos Buttler made his debut for English County Championship for Lancashire from 2014-present.
