Faheem Ashraf Profile, Career Info, Records & Stats

Faheem Ashraf is a Pakistani all-round cricketer. He represented Pakistan in all three formats of international cricket. He was selected in the Pakistan National Cricket Team squad in 2017. Faheem made his debut against Sri Lanka in one day international on June 12, 2017. He took his first ODI wicket by dismissing Dinesh Chandimal for the first ball of his career. Faheem is a rare talent in the all-rounder category who delivers with bat and ball.

Faheem awarded as PCB’s Emerging Player of the Year award for his outstanding performance. He picked up his first five wickets haul during the Pakistan tour of Zimbabwe in 2018. Faheem achieves this historic mark at the Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo in July 2018. He has been very successful during his first International tour (same) by grabbing wickets and batting down the order.

He made his debut in T20I for Pakistan against the World XI match in the 2017 Independence Cup on 12 September 2017. Faheem became 1st Pakistani and 6th overall bowler to take a hat-trick in a T20I. He took against Sri Lanka at Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium on October 27, 2017. Pakistan won both three T20 and three ODI match series in UAE taking lead with 3-0 and 2-1 respectively.

Faheem played only four Test matches so far and took eleventh wickets to his Test career. He got a chance to represent his nation in the 23 One Day International games taking 20 wickets of them. According to his batting or bowling style, he has been part of the Pakistan T20 team squad since his first appearance. He played more T20 games than One Day Internationals and T20 for his national side.

In the most recent edition of Pakistan Super League 2020, he represented Islamabad United. He got retained by the franchise with the earlier announcement during PSL 2020 draft in November 2019. Islamabad United won only three matches in the entire season of PSL 5 and knocked-out from the tournament.
