Aiden Kyle Markram is commonly known as Aiden Markram. He is a right-handed opening batsman and right-arm off break spin bowler. Markram represented South Africa National Team in Test and One Day Internationals. He has played his domestic first-class cricket and List A cricket for Northern and Titans during season 2014 to present and from 2016 to present respectively.
Markram made his first appearance and led his national side during the U-19 World Cup 2014. Under his captaincy, South Africa won the World Cup against the runner up Pakistan. The tournament hosted by UAE with 16 teams as participants. Markram is the youngest after Graeme Smith to captain the South African national side in ODI. He achieved this feat at the age of 23 years and 123 days.
He made his List A cricket debut after becoming part of South Africa A Cricket Team. As captain for the South Africa Team A tour in 4-day matches format against India A. Markram is the first South African batsman to score two centuries in his first three Test matches. He missed narrowly his maiden century on his debut. Aiden Markram has made his debut for Durham during English County Championship in 2018.
He has played for Hampshire during the English County season 2019. Markram named in the T20 Global League to play Nelson Mandela Bay Stars. He made his debut in the Bolton Cricket League for Walkden in 2016. Bolton Cricket League is organized by Manchester Cricket. Markram made his debut for Paarl Rocks in the South African Mzansi Super League T20 tournament in October 2018.
Markram played 20 Test matches and maintained 38.48 batting averages in ODI. He played 26 One Day Internationals and two Twenty20I’s. Markram has four centuries to his name in Test but hasn’t got successful in ODI’s. He is a brilliant batsman who has over 40 batting averages.
